Dizziness in patients with cerebral infarction may be caused by cerebral infarction death itself or may be caused by abnormal blood pressure due to cerebral infarction death. Patients with elevated blood pressure may experience dizziness and should mainly be given blood pressure lowering treatment, commonly used drugs include amlodipine and amlodipine benzoate. Low blood pressure may also cause dizziness, and if blood pressure is lowered, dilation therapy should be given. If it is caused by cerebral infarction death itself, as seen in lesions of the cerebellum and brainstem, treatment mainly includes anti-platelet aggregation, neuroprotection, and improvement of blood circulation. Anti-platelet aggregation drugs mainly include aspirin, clopidogrel, indobufen, and tegretol. Neuroprotective drugs include edaravone and cytarabine. Drugs to improve blood circulation include sulforaphane and ginkgolide. If the patient has severe dizziness symptoms, pethidine and vertigo stop can also be given for symptomatic treatment.
