If non-absorbable threads are used in circumcision, the threads are usually removed 1 week after the operation, which should be combined with the healing of the incision, and the general process is to disinfect the wound with iodine, then cut the end of the thread knot along the surface of the skin, and then pull out the knot in the opposite direction, disinfect it again, and pay attention to the observation of the local healing, which is required to be completed by the specialized doctor.
In the process of removing the threads, remember not to blindly do it by yourself, or remove the threads with ordinary scissors or sharp instruments, which will easily lead to infection of the incision. In serious cases, the skin may become pus-filled and the incision may split.
