Pregnancy occurs at the end of March on the lunar calendar and delivery occurs around mid to late December on the lunar calendar of the same year.
Clinically, the due date can be estimated based on the time of the last menstrual period. If the expected date of labor is calculated on the lunar calendar, September is added to the month and 14 days are added to the date. Therefore, a pregnancy at the end of March on the lunar calendar would result in a delivery date around mid to late December of that year. However, the due date can only be used as an approximate projection of labor, and it is normal to deliver within 2 weeks before or after the due date.
In addition to predicting the time of labor based on the last menstrual period, you can also recheck the gestational week according to the ultrasound in mid-pregnancy. If the gestational week varies greatly, the ultrasound-projected gestational week will prevail, and the gestational week and the expected date of labor will be rechecked.
