Can hypertension be completely cured?

One of the main concerns of many people suffering from hypertension is whether hypertension can be cured. Many people have been deceived by the unscrupulous media, which from time to time advertises a “miracle drug” that can completely cure hypertension. Unfortunately, there is no definitive cure for this disease in current medicine. The strong desire of patients to seek a cure is exploited by unscrupulous people, and it is even more regrettable that our society does not have the perfect mechanism and ability to stop these pervasive scams from happening. So, is hypertension an incurable disease? No. Medicine now has a deep understanding of this disease and hypertension is only a chronic condition. The dangers of hypertension can be controlled by adequately lowering blood pressure and keeping it in the normal range over time. That said, there are now many non-drug and drug methods to control blood pressure to prevent complications caused by hypertension. It is entirely possible for people with hypertension to achieve normal blood pressure and maintain their health through self-regulation (lifestyle modification and non-pharmacological methods) and medication. Therefore, we often see some elderly people who are already in their eighties or nineties and have suffered from hypertension for decades, but they insist on life adjustment and medication for a long time, and their blood pressure is relatively well controlled and their bodies are still very strong. Therefore, young patients should not be depressed because they suffer from hypertension, thinking that their bodies are finished and living very unhappily every day. Nowadays medical technology has been able to reduce the harm of this disease to a very small extent with drugs, and hypertension patients with properly controlled blood pressure have almost the same life expectancy as normal people. And medical science is constantly developing and advancing, and one day we will overcome this chronic disease.
