Do newborns have a high pass rate for thyroid review?

Neonatal thyroid review pass rates are relatively high. The first time a newborn is tested for thyroid function is through blood collection from the feet, and most abnormalities of low thyroid at the time of the initial screening are caused by physiologic factors. For example, stress and infection at birth or due to maternal influence, such as some mothers have abnormal thyroid function, their hormone levels will affect the newborn’s hormone levels, these conditions will cause a temporary decrease in the newborn’s thyroid function, with the newborn’s age, most of the newborn will be self-adjusted to restore. The initial thyroid function test results of newborns are subject to some error and need to be actively reviewed. If the results of repeated reviews are abnormal, then active follow-up or treatment is required as prescribed by the doctor.
