Red, swollen and painful sores on legs, how to treat them

Sores on legs are usually caused by boils. When they are red, swollen and painful, they can be treated with medication, surgery and physical methods.
1. Medication: Boils are caused by pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. Boils can be treated with topical medications such as ichthyol ointment, mupirocin ointment, or oral medications such as penicillin and erythromycin, all of which should be used under the guidance of a medical professional to avoid adverse reactions.
2. Surgery: If the boil on the leg is accompanied by pus, it can be surgically incised to drain the pus.
3. Physical therapy: Infrared rays, ultra-short wave irradiation, semiconductor laser and other physical therapies are also effective in relieving the redness, swelling and pain caused by boils.
Patients with sores on the legs need to go to the hospital in time and take active treatment.
