It is used in treating constipation due to solid heat accumulation and stagnation, vomiting blood due to blood-heat, swollen eyes and throat, intestinal carbuncle (carbuncle occurring in the intestines and bowels, manifested by fever, pain in the right side of the abdomen, and palpable lump), abdominal pain, post-partum stagnation and obstruction of blood stasis, stagnant blood and menstrual closure, bruises, damp-heat dysentery (dysentery due to damp-heat), jaundice with urinary redness, and gonorrhea (increased frequency of urination and astringent pain in drenching), and other diseases. Rhubarb should be used with caution in cases of deficiency and coldness of the spleen and stomach (weak and cold spleen and stomach), pregnancy, postpartum, and menstruation. Therefore, the efficacy of both rhubarb and rhubarb is not the same, and there are differences in the treatment of diseases, which should be used under the guidance of a doctor in order to avoid adverse consequences.
