If subcutaneous ecchymosis occurs after cupping, it is related to the negative pressure inside the can, which is generally normal.
When performing cupping therapy, negative pressure will be generated inside the can, and local redness and congestion, or even local purple-red ecchymosis, which is generally a normal reaction after cupping therapy, and this skin change will gradually and naturally subside.
In case of blood cupping, after disinfecting the skin at the cupping site, first use a three-pronged needle to puncture the bleeding, and then local cupping, there will be a small amount of bleeding, which is also a normal phenomenon.
Note that cupping should not be performed on broken skin to avoid bleeding from the wound.
