Effects of Glyceryl Nitrite Tablets

Nitroglycerin tablets are common vasodilators, mainly used to treat acute episodes of coronary heart disease and angina pectoris by rapidly dilating coronary blood vessels, but also used to lower blood pressure and relieve heart failure. Surgical patients with high blood pressure requirements, nitroglycerin tablets can also be used to induce hypotension before surgery. When congestive heart failure occurs, it can be treated by dilating peripheral blood vessels to reduce cardiac afterload. It should be noted that nitroglycerin tablets should be taken sublingually, not swallowed, and the dosage should be strictly controlled, because a small dose can produce severe hypotension, and care should be taken to prevent dizziness and falls during use. However, severe hypotension, significant anemia, and closed-angle glaucoma are prohibited. If breathing difficulties or unrelieved headaches occur after taking the product, seek medical attention promptly.
