HP positive for Helicobacter pylori

The abbreviation of H. pylori is HP, and positive means that the patient is infected with H. pylori, which after infection can easily cause chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer, and even gastric cancer in serious cases. When infected, H. pylori will grow and multiply in the human stomach, and the excessive number of bacteria will disrupt the ecological balance in the stomach, which will lead to the disruption of the internal environment of the stomach and therefore lead to chronic inflammation. In addition, H. pylori will also destroy the defense barrier on the surface of the gastric mucosa, making it easy for gastric acid to erode the gastric mucosa, which is also likely to lead to inflammation. A quadruple therapy, which consists of two antibiotics, a proton pump inhibitor, and a bismuth agent, is recommended under the guidance of a doctor. Antibiotics can choose amoxicillin, clarithromycin, etc. Proton pump inhibitors can inhibit gastric acid secretion, choose pantoprazole, lansoprazole, etc. Bismuth can protect the gastric mucosa, and you can choose bismuth pectin and bismuth potassium citrate. Quadruple therapy should be adhered to for 14 days to achieve satisfactory results. H. pylori is mainly transmitted through oral-oral transmission and fecal-oral transmission. Oral-oral transmission is through saliva, which can be transmitted during kissing and table food, and it is recommended to use public chopsticks. Fecal-oral transmission means that when a person is infected with H. pylori, it can also be found in the feces, so it is recommended to wash hands before and after meals.
