What is anterior chamberplasty?

Anterior chamber plication is an anterior chamber puncture procedure for total or partial loss of the anterior chamber or shallow anterior chamber caused by trauma, inflammatory adhesions, and other factors. Delayed anterior chamber formation after glaucoma surgery, ineffective conservative treatment, or loss of the anterior chamber by extrusion due to silicone oil and gas injection into the posterior segment of the eye. Anterior chamberplasty is the solution to shallow, disappearing anterior chamber caused by trauma, inflammation or surgery, for which conservative treatment is ineffective. Anterior chamber plasty is a relatively well-established ophthalmic procedure that can only be treated surgically if treatment is not effective. Surgery is basically treated with anesthesia, but the exact modality also depends on the individual. Anterior chamber plasty can treat the disappearance or shallowness of the anterior chamber. It is important to go to a regular hospital for the surgery and follow the doctor’s instructions. In addition, patients should be closely observed for symptoms such as severe abdominal pain and fever. If there is any abnormality, the doctor should be informed and treated accordingly.
