What’s a splenic chordoma?

Splenic chordoma is a common benign tumor, which can be divided into lymphangioma, hemangioma and angiolymphangioma, and once found, it needs to be promptly consulted and actively treated. Hemangioma is the most common, which is mainly composed of blood vessels, and can be divided into cavernous hemangioma, capillary hemangioma, etc. Usually, there are no symptoms, and only when larger hemangiomas encroach on and oppress the spleen and surrounding organs, corresponding clinical symptoms will be produced. Lymphangioma often consists of cystic expansion of lymphatic vessels, and can be divided into cavernous lymphangioma, cystic lymphangioma, mixed lymphangioma, etc. The clinical manifestations are not specific, and usually the spleen can be enlarged and the left upper abdomen feels distended or slightly bloated. Angio-lymphangioma is more rare, which is caused by the coexistence of angioma and lymphangioma, characterized by dilated lymphatic interstitial space, erythrocyte exudation, ferritin deposition and fibrosis, and can occur in all parts of the body.
