Concept and treatment of breast nodules

In the ultrasound results of breast diseases, we often see the word “breast nodule” in the report, so what is a breast nodule? What should I do if I find a breast nodule? 1. What is a breast nodule? In fact, breast nodule is not the name of the disease, nor is it a characterization of the disease, but a generic term for “microscopic masses in the breast” as described by ultrasound diagnosis, which are “early lesions of all benign and malignant lesions”. Pathological examination of small nodules through minimally invasive surgery confirms that breast nodules include benign tumors such as “breast fibroadenoma” and “intraductal papilloma”, “breast adenopathy, hyperplasia The term “breast nodules” includes benign tumors such as “breast fibroadenoma” and “breast ductal papilloma”; “breast adenopathy and hyperplasia”; and a very small number of malignant tumors – “breast cancer”. In other words, “breast nodules” are tiny swellings and tiny lesions in the breast, early signs of breast disease. 2.What should you do if you find a breast nodule? When breast nodules are found in ultrasound, the first and foremost problem is to identify the benign and malignant nature of the nodules, so please go to a regular hospital breast specialist for differential diagnosis. Your doctor will first make a preliminary judgment based on your age, family history, number of nodules, nodule morphology, growth rate, nodule blood flow signal, elasticity score, etc. He may also recommend you to undergo imaging examinations such as mammography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or even ductoscopy and puncture biopsy to further clarify the nature of the nodules. 3.How to treat breast nodules? Breast nodules are substantial masses in the breast, which are unlikely to dissipate on their own. Doctors will develop individualized treatment plans based on a comprehensive evaluation to determine the nature of the nodules. (1) Conventional surgery: If the number of nodules is small, the volume is large (more than 2.5 cm), the nodule is in the areola area, the breast is small, the nodule is in a shallow location, and there is a history of poor blood clotting mechanism, conventional surgery with small incisions and cosmetic sutures can be performed without leaving a scar after the prognosis and without affecting the lactation function. (2) Minimally invasive surgery method: i.e., using Mammotome or Anke minimally invasive rotary cutting system under ultrasound guidance, through computer-controlled vacuum-assisted high-speed rotary cutting minimally invasive surgery. Suitable for: excision of benign lesions with a diameter of 1 to 62.5 px, especially for unilateral and bilateral multiple masses; excisional biopsy of suspicious lesions less than 25 px in diameter that are not clinically accessible; biopsy diagnosis of highly suspicious malignant lesions (regardless of size). After conventional surgery or minimally invasive surgery in order to stop and prevent regeneration of mass nodules, all of them should be treated with internal Chinese medicine to cure the disease fundamentally. (3) Chinese herbal medicine treatment for breast nodules: For multiple breast nodules, breast cysts, ductal dilatation, nodules less than 25px, patients who really do not want to undergo surgery; or recurrent post-operative patients, strictly excluding malignant lesions, can be treated with Chinese herbal medicine . The treatment is mainly internal, according to the patient’s physique, the identification of the use of draining liver and Qi, invigorating blood and dispersing nodules, resolving phlegm and dampness, tonifying kidney and regulating flushing, etc., combined with the external collapse of Chinese medicine and ointment penetration to soften and disperse nodules, can effectively promote the collapse and dissolution of pathological tissue, so that the nodules shrink or disappear, while improving the patient’s breast pain, fullness, emotional depression and irritability, low menstrual volume or inappropriate cycle and other symptoms.
