How often do you need a gastroscopy for celiac disease?

Gastric mucosal erosion is a curable disease and can be cured in 1-2 weeks with medication. Gastroscopy can be repeated for the first time in about 3 months, and whether it needs to be repeated at a later stage depends on the specific situation. In the case of young patients without high risk of cancer and without clinical symptoms, gastroscopy can be repeated when there are symptoms. However, for older patients, especially those with H. pylori infection and family history of gastric cancer, it is recommended to review gastroscopy once every 1-2 years. Patients without high-risk factors should have gastroscopy more or less as often as ordinary people, and there is no special requirement. Because gastric erosion, which is not precancerous, may develop into gastric ulcer in some severe cases if poorly controlled, simple erosion is not very related to gastric cancer. Patients with erosive gastritis should improve their lifestyle, eat a reasonable diet, do not eat raw, cold, spicy and stimulating food, and pay attention to avoid some drug stimulation, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. If it is accompanied by H. pylori infection, it is important to eradicate H. pylori. Doing the above points, most patients can be cured.
