What’s wrong with stripped nails?

Nail delamination may be caused by onychomycosis, trauma and nail psoriasis.
1. Ringworm of the nails: the formation of ringworm of the nails is mostly related to fungal infection of the nails, nail trauma, impaired immunity and other factors may also induce ringworm of the nails. The nail beds of patients with onychomycosis will appear cloudy, thickening, separation and discoloration and other symptoms.
2. Trauma: If the nails are injured by external blows and collisions, it may lead to the separation of the nail plate and nail bed, which may lead to delamination.
3. Nail psoriasis: Nail psoriasis can be caused by genetic, immune and environmental factors, and is mainly manifested by nail separation, hyperkeratosis under the nail, and thimble-like or punctate depression of the nail.
