Most women with uterine fibroids will experience frequent and heavy menstruation. If menstruation is delayed, it is recommended that blood tests be taken at the same time as the ultrasound examination to see if there is any abnormality in the level of sex hormones and what the hormone secretion is like. If the hormone secretion is abnormal, it is considered that the delayed menstruation is caused by endocrine disorders. If there is uncontraceptive sex, you also need to rule out whether the delayed menstruation is caused by pregnancy. Therefore, if patients with fibroids experience delayed menstruation, they need to look at the size of the fibroid and the location of the fibroid in conjunction with relevant tests to see if surgical treatment is needed. When the fibroid is larger than 5cm or the fibroid is located in the submucosa of the uterus, which affects menstruation, surgical treatment can be considered.
