The exact location of Zhangmen acupoint is in the lateral abdomen, at the lower margin of the free end of the 11th rib. Zhangmen acupoint is the recruitment point of the spleen, the visceral meeting point of the eight meeting points, and can be used to treat spleen and stomach disorders, liver and gallbladder disorders.
Zhangmen is located in the lateral abdomen, under which there are the internal and external oblique muscles, the transversus abdominis muscle, the terminal branch of the 10th intercostal artery, and the 10th and 11th intercostal nerves. The deep part of the left Zhangmen point is the lower edge of the spleen, and the deep part of the right Zhangmen point is the lower edge of the liver. Needling needs to pay extra attention to the depth in order to prevent stabbing the internal organs.
Zhangmen acupoints are used to treat abdominal pain, bloating, rumbling in the bowels, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting in the spleen and stomach, and jaundice, lumps (lumps), and dystocia (pain in the ribs) in the liver and gallbladder.
Acupuncture of Zhangmen points must be performed by a specialized doctor. Prompt medical attention is recommended for the above conditions.
