Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with antipyretic and analgesic properties. Nimesulide is a second-line anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug, used only when treatment with one or more other NSAIDs has failed, and can be used to relieve chronic arthritis pain, post-surgical and acute trauma pain, headache, toothache, and primary dysmenorrhea. It is well tolerated and has few adverse effects. Sometimes symptoms such as burning sensation in the stomach, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, sweating, flushing of the face, excessive excitement, rash, erythema and insomnia, and occasionally headache and vertigo are seen. In recent years, due to the occurrence of several incidents of liver injury related to the application of Nimesulide, the Food and Drug Administration of China has prohibited the use of Nimesulide oral preparations in children under 12 years of age.
