How to look at a cervical spine MRI

Cervical spine MRI firstly looks at the curvature of the cervical vertebrae, and secondly looks at the vertebral body morphology and whether the signal is consistent and other information. Cervical spine MRI can clearly view the cervical vertebrae, intervertebral discs and structures around the spinal cord, and can check whether there is a cervical disc herniation, whether there is a narrowing of the cervical spinal canal, spinal cord injuries, and can assess the degree of disc prolapse, and whether the spinal canal is occupied or inflamed. The first thing to look at is the cervical curvature of the cervical spine, under normal circumstances, the cervical spine forward curvature between 21 and 22 degrees; the second thing to look at the vertebral body morphology with or without hyperplasia, collapse and other changes to see if the disc protrudes and the degree of protrusion, whether or not the compression of nerves, spinal cord and so on, if there is a protruding compression of nerves, inflammation, the signals around the vertebral body will be changed. If neck discomfort occurs, cervical spine MRI, it is recommended to view and diagnose under the guidance of a professional doctor; cervical spine MRI requires professional knowledge to judge, the patient can not judge it is recommended to go to the hospital to find a doctor to view.
