0.6 vision is equivalent to 4.0

A visual acuity of 0.6 is equivalent to a visual acuity of 4.8.
Currently, there are usually two methods of recording visual acuity in the regular use of visual acuity charts, i.e. decimal visual acuity recording method and five-point visual acuity recording method. The two methods of recording visual acuity are interchangeable, with a visual acuity of 0.6 being equivalent to a visual acuity of 4.8.
In the fractional visual acuity recording method, 1.0 visual acuity is the normal visual acuity, the worse the visual acuity, the smaller the score, and the highest line in the visual acuity chart is 0.1. In the five-point visual acuity recording method, 5.0 visual acuity is the same as the 1.0 visual acuity mentioned above, and it is the standard of normal visual acuity. Similarly, the worse the visual acuity, the lower the value, with each line decreasing by 0.1 points, the highest line of visual acuity is 4.0, relative to the 0.1 visual acuity.
It is recommended that patients with abnormal vision seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
