The severity of a meniscus injury is determined by the symptoms that occur. After an injury to the anterior horn of the meniscus, if there is no significant restriction of the joint, the degree of injury is relatively mild, and the joint appears to have some limited range of motion, which is caused by pain. Localized swelling of the joint and localized pain, but most of them are tolerated, is more serious. Some patients also require external immobilization of the joint to reduce joint pain and give the injury time to recover. Severe joint pain that cannot be tolerated, sudden locking of the joints during movement, significant swelling of the joints, more serious injuries, and some meniscus injuries can be relieved through manipulative repositioning. Some meniscus injuries can be relieved by manipulation. If the symptoms cannot be relieved by manipulation, surgical treatment is needed. Anterior horn of meniscus injury, if any of the above symptoms occur, should be treated symptomatically.
