Surgery is not recommended for mesenchymal tumors less than 1cm, mainly because of their small size and low degree of malignancy.
In most cases, mesenchymal tumors appear in the gastrointestinal tract and may originate from mesenchymal tissues. Sometimes the volume of mesenchymal tumors is less than 1cm, and the influence on the surrounding tissues will be relatively limited, and there may be no obvious discomfort symptoms such as abdominal distension, abdominal pain, etc. Moreover, the malignant degree of the tissues is low, which makes the surgery of mesenchymal tumors of little significance, and the change of mesenchymal tumors may be observed by regular follow-ups.
At present, for mesenchymal tumors below 1cm, surgery can not be considered for the time being, but if it is found that the volume of mesenchymal tumors is increasing and there are abnormal symptoms such as fatigue, blood in the stools and weight loss, then it is necessary to remove the diseased tissues by surgery in a timely manner.
Note: Mesothelioma is a relatively rare disease, usually need to avoid spicy and stimulating diet, if found in the physical examination of mesothelioma less than 1cm, need to consult a doctor in time for further examination and treatment.
