Early symptoms of uveitis may include eye pain, tearing, photophobia, etc. Early symptoms of uveitis categorized according to different parts of the disease, such as anterior uveitis, intermediate uveitis, posterior uveitis, etc., may be different.
1. Anterior uveitis: mainly occurs in the iris, ciliary body and other parts of the eye, early may be manifested as tearing, photophobia, eye pain and other discomforts, improve the slit lamp and other eye examinations, but also can be found in the atrial fluid turbidity, ciliary body congestion and other signs.
2. Intermediate uveitis: mainly involves the ciliary body flattening part, vitreous base, peripheral retina and choroid, there may be no obvious symptoms in the early stage, along with the progression of the disease, redness of the eye, eye pain and other discomforts.
3. Posterior uveitis: it mainly affects the choroid and retina at the back of the eyeball. Early on, there may only be slight discomfort such as black shadow and flashing light, which is easy to be ignored by the patients, and with the progression of the disease, there may also be a decrease in visual acuity.
