What’s wrong with the blue light in your eyes?

Bluish light in the eyes is considered to be bluish vision, usually after systemic drug use, poisoning or syphilis stage III optic nerve atrophy, and also after cataract removal or artificial lens implantation, bluish vision is more common. After cataract surgery, the crystals become cloudy and yellowish. The cloudy crystals are more transparent and absorb more short-wave light, thus reducing the stimulation of blue light to the eyes. After cataract surgery, an IOL is implanted and the translucency of the crystal is increased, so the lens will absorb more short-wave light than before, which will result in a bluish appearance when looking at objects. Therefore, many patients may experience significant blue vision after surgery, and it will take several months to slowly adapt and the symptoms may get better.
