How teratomas form

Teratoma is a kind of tumor induced by the mutation of germ cells.
Teratoma is a tumor formed by the mutation of infantile germ cells in the human body, which often occurs in the ovary, followed by the testes, and can also occur in the mediastinum, sacrococcygeal region, retroperitoneum and other parts of the body. They can be divided into mature teratomas and immature teratomas.
Teratoma can occur at any age, it does not develop from a fertilized egg, so it has nothing to do with pregnancy.
In teratoma, sebum, hair, bone, cartilage and even teeth, eyeballs, muscles, brain and other tissues can be seen in the body of the teratoma, because the composition of these tissues is very similar to that of normal human tissues, but the arrangement of the structure is chaotic, like all kinds of tissues piled up together in a haphazard manner, a little bit like the developmental deformity of “fetus”, so that is why it has the name.
Mature teratomas can be treated conservatively. In case of immature teratoma and rapid growth of teratoma, surgical treatment is needed, and combined radiotherapy is recommended to avoid recurrence of teratoma. Therefore, once a teratoma is detected, the patient must go to the doctor in time to avoid delaying the condition.
