What’s with the facial twitching and eye squeezing?

Facial twitching and squeezing eyes may be related to physiological factors, or it may be caused by facial muscle spasm and tic disorder.
1. Physiological factors: for example, high mental stress in the near future, overwork, serious lack of sleep, or emotional excitement, etc., may cause facial twitching and eye squeezing symptoms.
2. Facial muscle spasm: it can cause the patient’s facial muscles on one side to twitch uncontrollably, and may also be accompanied by squeezing the eyes, mouth crooked and other symptoms. It is mostly considered that it may be related to mechanical stimulation, vascular compression of facial nerve and other factors.
3. Tourette’s syndrome: this disease is common in children, single or multiple muscles of rapid contraction movements, fixed in one place or wandering, manifested as squeezing the eyes, facial muscle twitching, nose flapping, pouting. If the respiratory and articulatory muscles are involved, the twitching will be accompanied by involuntary articulation or obscene language, so it is also called “Tourette’s syndrome”.
Facial twitching and eye squeezing, after excluding physiological factors, should go to the regular hospital as soon as possible, by the doctor to guide the treatment and adjustment.
