How to Use Sidekick Leaf Angelica

The leaves of cypress should be used according to the method of decoction for internal use or into pills or powder; external use of decoction and washing or powdered dressing; Angelica sinensis should be used according to the method of decoction for internal use or into pills or powder; external use of compresses.
1. Lateral cypress leaves are bitter, astringent and cold in nature. It belongs to lung, liver and spleen meridians. This product has the effect of cooling blood to stop bleeding, resolving phlegm to stop coughing, and producing hair and black hair. It is used in treating hematemesis, hemoptysis, hemorrhage (excessive menstrual flow or more than a few drops of blood), and hair loss due to blood heat. This product is used for internal use in decoction or into pills and powder; external use in decoction and washing or powdered dressing.
2. Angelica sinensis is sweet, pungent and warm in nature. It belongs to liver, heart and spleen meridians. It has the effect of tonifying and activating blood, regulating menstruation and relieving pain, moistening the intestines and relaxing the bowels. It is used for treating dizziness and palpitations, menstrual cramps, rheumatism and paralysis, carbuncle and gangrene (a kind of poisonous sores, acute suppurative diseases occurring on the surface of the body, limbs and internal organs) sores and ulcers. The use of this product is usually by decoction.
This product is contraindicated in cases of dampness and fullness in the middle (too much dampness causing fullness and discomfort in the spleen and stomach) and loose stools.
Angelica sinensis can be taken internally in a decoction with lateral cypress leaves to treat diseases such as blood deficiency and hair loss, but specific use of the drug is recommended under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, as unauthorized use of the drug may result in adverse consequences.
