What’s going on with the right rib depression?

The possible causes of right rib depression include trauma, abnormal calcium and phosphorus metabolism, and scoliosis.
1. Trauma: Bones are deformed, cracked or fractured by external violence, usually related to traffic accidents, falling from height and other traumatic factors. If the fracture occurs in the chest, it may cause rib depression.
2. Abnormal calcium and phosphorus metabolism: Bone lesions caused by abnormal metabolism of calcium and phosphorus elements due to a variety of reasons, resulting in ossification disorders, which are mostly seen in the growth and development period of children, with the main clinical manifestations of underdevelopment of bone tissues as well as deformity and softening of bone development, and consequently, the ribs may be underdeveloped, resulting in the abnormality of thoracic structure and the condition of rib concavity.
3. Scoliosis: one or several segments of the spine are bent to the side to form a deformity with curvature. There may be no obvious symptoms in the early stage, but with the progress of growth and development, one side of the ribs will gradually appear to be concave, and one side of the ribs will appear to be convex.
It is recommended that people with this condition should go to the hospital to find out the cause of the disease, so as to carry out targeted treatment.
