What’s going on with the bulging mouth?

A convex mouth may be related to the growth of maxillary teeth in the front, the maxillary bone is anteriorly convex or the mandible is too short, adenoid hypertrophy and so on.
1. Forward growth of maxillary teeth: Poor development of tooth germs, incorrect chewing habits, like to gnaw hard objects with teeth or frequently gnawing nails and other bad habits will easily lead to forward growth of maxillary teeth, resulting in increasingly convex mouth.
2. Convexity of the maxilla or shortness of the mandible: bad habits such as frequently biting the lower lip and licking the teeth with the tongue, hereditary factors, as well as nutritional deficiencies, endocrine dysfunction, trauma to the jawbone and other factors will affect the normal development of the jawbone, resulting in a protruding maxilla or shortness of the mandible, leading to an increasingly convex mouth.
3. Adenoid hypertrophy: Adenoid hypertrophy usually affects the ventilation, patients need to open their mouths to breathe, long-term open-mouth breathing may cause changes in the development of the maxillofacial bones, resulting in the mouth becoming more and more convex.
If your mouth is getting convex, you need to go to the hospital in time and get treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
