High pressure is normal and low pressure is low, what’s the cause?

Normal high pressure but low low pressure may be caused by physiological factors, arteriosclerosis and heart valve disease.
1. Physiological factors: This condition may be related to physiological factors such as excessive fatigue, mental tension and stress.
2. Arteriosclerosis: mostly occurring in elderly patients, arteriosclerosis makes arterial stiffness increase, arterial diastolic resilience is weakened, so that the low pressure is on the low side, when the high pressure can be in the normal range.
3. Heart valve diseases: such as aortic valve insufficiency, when the heart contracts and pumps blood to the blood vessels, part of the blood will reflux to the heart through the insufficiency of the aortic valve, resulting in a decrease in the pressure in the blood vessels during diastole of the heart, which is manifested as a normal high pressure and low pressure.
If the patient repeatedly has normal high pressure but low pressure, he/she needs to go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions to carry out the appropriate examinations to clarify the diagnosis.
