There is no clinical method for self-test of the pelvic floor muscles after childbirth, but it can be detected by physical examination and instrumental measurement. 1. Physical examination: The doctor will use his fingers to touch the vagina of the mother and feel the damage of the pelvic floor muscles with his hands. At the same time, it is necessary to check whether the vagina is loose, how strong the vaginal contraction is, whether there is an increase in abdominal pressure when coughing, sneezing and so on, and whether there is any prolapse of the uterus and so on. 2. Instrumental measurement: a manometer is placed into the vaginal wall of the mother to determine the degree of damage and contraction of the pelvic floor muscles through the point movement of the nerves or muscles. Pelvic floor muscle strength mainly evaluates the duration of muscle contraction and fatigue, symmetry, repetitive contraction ability and the number of rapid contractions. Vaginal systolic pressure indicates the combined muscle strength level of the superficial and deep vaginal muscle layers. It is recommended that women undergo pelvic floor muscle examination after 42 days of delivery. If abnormal pelvic floor muscle strength occurs, it is recommended that they go to the hospital in time and actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment.
