For Yin deficiency with dry stools, emaciation, dizziness, tinnitus, insomnia, hot flashes and night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up), the formula is Enriching Liquid Soup. Yang deficiency is characterized by difficulty in passing stools, long and clear urine, cold pain in the abdomen, pain that decreases with heat, and cold pain in the waist and knees.
