Gastrografin Injection, generic name metoclopramide, is potentially teratogenic and is not recommended for the treatment of pregnancy vomiting. Metoclopramide is an antiemetic agent indicated for the treatment of nausea, vomiting, belching, dyspepsia, flatulence, and hyperacidity due to various causes. Symptoms such as nausea and vomiting caused by reflux esophagitis, bile reflux gastritis, functional gastric retention, gastric ptosis, delayed residual gastric emptying syndrome, and delayed gastric emptying after vagotomy. Allergic to procaine or procainamide, seizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical intestinal obstruction or perforation, pheochromocytoma, breast cancer patients with chemotherapy and radiotherapy and vomiting is prohibited; hepatic and renal failure, pregnancy and lactation; children and the elderly should not be used in large quantities for a long time. Overdose can cause extrapyramidal symptoms such as lethargy, confusion, muscle spasms and swaying gait.
