In case of pseudomyopia, the eyes can be made non-myopic through general treatment and medication. In the case of true myopia, myopia can be corrected with framed glasses, corneal contact lenses, or refractive surgery.
Pseudomyopia caused by ciliary muscle spasm can mostly be treated to make the eyes non-myopic. Treatment refers to general therapy, medication, etc.
General treatment includes reducing the amount of time spent in close proximity, looking into the distance more often, and doing eye exercises, etc., which can relax the spastic ciliary muscle and treat pseudomyopia.
Medication includes topical ciliary muscle paralyzing drops, such as 0.01% atropine eye drops, compound tropicamide eye drops, etc., which can relieve ciliary muscle spasm and treat pseudomyopia.
True myopia caused by growth of the eye axis has not been found to be effectively treated, but myopia can be corrected by wearing frame glasses, corneal contact lenses or refractive surgery.
It is recommended that myopic patients seek timely medical attention for targeted treatment or correction.
