Does a retinal tear raise your temperature?

Patients who develop retinal tears do not usually experience an increase in body temperature.
Retinal tears are a common disease of the fundus of the eye and are usually the result of trauma to the eye, high myopia, and other factors. When a retinal tear occurs, the patient may not have any conscious symptoms or may only experience discomfort such as a flashing sensation in the eye, but it usually does not cause systemic symptoms such as fever. If the patient develops a fever, it is usually caused by an infected lesion in the body or a blood disorder.
Patients with retinal tears have a higher risk of retinal detachment. Patients can be treated with fundus laser therapy to close the retinal tears.
Patients with retinal tears are advised to seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow their doctor’s instructions.
