Painful urination belongs to the category of gonorrhea (increased frequency of urination, gonorrhea and astringent pain) in Chinese medicine, and can be treated by choosing acupoints such as Zhongji (middle pole), Bladder Yu, Yinlingquan (yinlingquan) and Sanyinjiao (Sanyinjiao).
For the treatment of painful urination, the main treatment principles are strengthening the spleen and kidney, clearing heat and removing dampness, and regulating Qi and activating blood circulation. Zhongji is an acupoint of the Ren vein and a recruitment point of the bladder meridian, located on the anterior midline, 4 inches below the umbilicus; and Bladder Yu is a dorsal acupoint of the bladder meridian, located in the sacral region, transversely level to the 2nd posterior sacral foramen, and 1.5 inches adjacent to the sacral median ridge, which, in conjunction with Zhongji, can clear away the dampness and heat of the lower Jiao and facilitate urination.
Yinlingquan is a conjunction point of the spleen meridian, in the medial side of the lower leg, in the depression between the lower edge of the medial condyle of the tibia and the medial edge of the tibia, which can strengthen the spleen and resolve dampness. Sanyinjiao is a meeting point of the liver, spleen and kidney meridians, located three inches straight up from the high point of the medial epicondyle, behind the medial border of the tibia, which can regulate qi and activate blood.
It is recommended to consult a doctor in time. Acupuncture operation must be carried out by a professional acupuncturist, and must not be self-operated, so as not to cause damage to the organism.
