Can you play basketball after laser myopia surgery?

After laser myopia surgery, it is not recommended to play basketball if you are still in the recovery period. If you have fully recovered from the surgery, you can play basketball for patients with low and medium myopia, but it is still not recommended for patients with high myopia.
Basketball is a strenuous sport, and during the postoperative recovery period, strenuous sports can easily lead to infection induced by sweat inside the eye, or lead to dislocation of the IOL implanted in the eye, therefore, playing basketball is not recommended.
For patients with low to moderate myopia, if they have fully recovered from the surgery, even strenuous exercise generally has no effect on their eyes, therefore, they can play basketball.
For patients with high myopia, the surgery can only correct the visual acuity, but not change the state of the fundus, so they still need to avoid playing basketball and other strenuous sports to prevent retinal detachment and other more serious complications.
