If the old man feels that there is something in his throat and nausea but no pain, it may be pharyngitis, epiglottis cyst, squamous cell carcinoma of hypopharynx and so on.
1. Pharyngitis: if there are chronic pharyngitis and reflux pharyngitis, the diffuse inflammation of mucous membrane of pharynx can stimulate the glands to increase secretion and attach to the posterior wall of pharynx, so that the elderly always consciously feel that there is something in the throat, but there is no abnormality in swallowing, and the pharyngeal reflexes are more sensitive, and there is nausea and discomfort without pharyngeal pain.
2. Epiglottis cysts: if the volume is small, there may be no discomfort; as the volume increases, there may be a feeling that there is something in the throat, nausea or even vomiting discomfort when eating or swallowing, but no obvious pain.
3. Squamous cell carcinoma of hypopharynx: In the early stage, there may be no pain and discomfort, but when swallowing, it may feel that there is something in the throat, which stimulates the larynx and is accompanied by the symptom of nausea.
When there is pharyngeal discomfort, it is recommended to consult doctor in time for clear diagnosis and treatment.
