What’s with the bumps under the tongue?

Raised bumps under the base of the tongue can be caused by lymphoid hyperplasia, inflammation of the verruca papillae, inflammation of the tonsils, and so on. 1. Lymphoid hyperplasia is usually caused by spicy food or stimulation, and is usually manifested by hyperplasia of the lymphatic tissues at the base of the tongue, resulting in the above symptoms. 2. If there is inflammation of the verruca papillae, the verruca papillae will be enlarged, red and swollen, and the base of the tongue will have a raised granule. Inflammation of the tonsils, which is usually caused by inflammation or other factors, may also occur as described above, and in severe cases there may be pain, fever and other symptoms.
