What is the difference between pharyngitis with blood in sputum and lung cancer?

Pharyngitis with blood in sputum is a symptom that is easily cured. While lung cancer is a disease with a good prognosis for active treatment, the prognosis for untreated people is worse.
1. Pharyngitis with blood in sputum
Pharyngitis is related to disease-causing microorganism infection, environmental stimulation and other factors. Patients with blood in sputum are mainly related to the disease-induced congestion of the mucosa of the posterior pharyngeal wall, lymphoid follicle hyperplasia, and the patients can cough due to the sensation of a foreign body in the pharynx, which prompts the local mucous membrane to break down and bleed. Usually, pharyngitis patients can be cured and the phenomenon of blood in sputum can disappear after actively cooperating with doctors.
2. Lung cancer
Lung cancer is a kind of malignant tumor disease, the cause of which is not yet completely clear, and may be related to smoking, air pollution, exposure to ionizing radiation, heredity and other factors. Early stage patients may have no obvious symptoms, but as the disease progresses, symptoms such as cough, chest pain, blood in sputum, dyspnea and hoarseness may appear.
If the patient is in the early stage of lung cancer, there is a chance of cure with active treatment. If the patient is in the middle or late stage of the disease and does not pay attention to the disease, the prognosis is relatively poor and life-threatening.
It is suggested that those who are diagnosed with the disease should adjust their mentality and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment, so as to promote the recovery of health.
