Difference between garden ginseng and forest ginseng

The difference between garden ginseng and underwood ginseng is that garden ginseng is artificially cultivated and its medicinal power is weak; underwood ginseng is naturally grown in the wild state of mountains and forests and its medicinal power is strong.
Garden ginseng and underwood ginseng are both ginsengs, which are slightly warm in nature, sweet and slightly bitter in flavor, and belong to the spleen, lung, heart and kidney meridians. Both have the effect of replenishing vital energy, restoring normal pulse, preventing and controlling the disease of deficiencies, tonifying the spleen, nourishing the lungs, generating fluids and nourishing the blood, and tranquilizing the spirit and benefiting the intellect. It is used in treating deficiency, cold limbs and weak pulse, deficiency of spleen with little food, deficiency of lung with asthma and cough, and injury of body fluid with thirst. It is not suitable to be used together with quatu and wulingzhi.
The main root of Linxia Ginseng is short and thick with a horizontal spirit body, and the branch roots are separated by eight. There are rounded reeds. The center of the root is full and resembles a date palm. The transverse lines on the upper part of the main root are dense and deep. The fibrous roots are sparse and long, tough, with obvious pearl pimples. The surface is tooth-white or yellowish-white, and the section is white. The flavor is sweet and slightly bitter. The commodity is divided into 8 grades according to the weight of the branch, the weight and shape of the cap and the main root.
According to the processing method, the ginseng is divided into the specifications of whole beard raw and sun-dried ginseng, white dried ginseng, raw and sun-dried ginseng, edge-striped fresh ginseng, common fresh ginseng, edge-striped red ginseng, common red ginseng, white sugar ginseng, and so on. Various specifications are further divided into several grades.
