Astragalus is slightly warm in nature, Codonopsis pilosula is flat in nature and American ginseng is cool in nature, which is the same as Chinese medicine. It is suitable for weak blood, weak spleen and stomach, deficiency of qi and blood, lung deficiency and wheezing and coughing.
The adverse effects of Astragalus are not clear at present. It should be used sparingly in cases of yin deficiency, and should not be used in cases of solid surface evil, or when heat and poison are still prevalent at the beginning of sores or after ulceration.
The adverse effects of Radix Codonopsis pilosulae are not clear, and it is contraindicated to be used with Radix quinquefolium. Note that it is forbidden to take it for solid and hot cases, and it is not suitable to use this product alone for cases of positive deficiency and solid evil.
The adverse reaction of Radix Panax Ginseng is not clear yet, and the contraindication is anti-veratrum. Note that it should be taken with caution for those with cold-dampness and middle obstruction (cold-dampness and evil qi blocking the spleen and stomach in the middle part of the body) and those with dampness-heat and fire.
