What’s the deal with dialysis?

Dialysis is a kind of kidney replacement therapy, mainly divided into peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis.
Dialysis is a kind of kidney replacement therapy which is used when the patient’s health condition is not good enough to tolerate surgical treatment or no suitable kidney source is available. Dialysis can partially replace the function of kidneys, so as to remove the excess metabolic wastes in the human body, mainly including peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis.
Peritoneal dialysis is known as abdominal dialysis, the dialysis membrane is the patient’s peritoneum, and then through the infusion of dialysis fluid into the abdominal cavity, the solutes between the dialysis fluid and the blood are exchanged, so as to achieve the purpose of removing metabolic wastes produced in the human body.
Hemodialysis, or hemodialysis, is a therapeutic means of purifying the blood outside of the body. Generally, an arteriovenous fistula should be made in the patient’s arm beforehand, so that the blood flow can meet the amount needed for dialysis.
The choice and operation of both need to be guided by a professional physician, if there is discomfort, it is recommended to consult a professional medical institution in a timely manner in order to avoid delaying the condition.
