Epididymal puncture requires a few days of recuperation

Recuperation is usually required for about 3 days after epididymal puncture.
The main purpose of epididymal puncture is to obtain epididymal fluid through puncture, observe whether there are sperms under the microscope, count the number of sperms, concentration, mobility, etc. It is mainly applied to patients who are clinically suspected of suffering from azoospermia, and to make a clear diagnosis of the patient.
The puncture needs to pay attention to protect the patient’s privacy, puncture accurately and gently to avoid testicular injury.
After epididymal puncture, the patient should be allowed to lie in bed and observe for 1 hour, and leave again without any abnormalities. Keep the epididymal scrotum dry and clean, the surgical site should not be bathed within 3 days, patients should recuperate for 3 days, avoid spicy stimulation during the period, and eat a light diet.
Excessive physical labor and intense exercise should be avoided within 1 week, and sexual intercourse should be avoided within 2 weeks.
