2. Acute purulent tonsillitis is mainly manifested as enlarged tonsils, congestion around the tonsils, yellowish-white pus spots at the mouth of the crypts, which can be connected to pseudomembranes. Treatment is as follows:
(1) Etiologic treatment: appropriate physical exercise, light diet, eat less fried and spicy food, pay attention to rest.
(2) Drug treatment: acute purulent tonsillitis should be given antibacterial drugs for treatment, such as penicillin, dexamethasone and other intravenous drip, or oral ampicillin, amoxicillin and so on, or give compound boric acid solution, 0.2% furacilin solution gargling.
