Can kidney cysts be determined by CT?

Renal cysts can generally be determined by CT, which is recommended to be combined with ultrasound examination.
CT examination is mainly used to check the morphology and tissue density of the lesion, with the change of tissue density before and after enhancement, which is mainly applicable to the differentiation of renal cysts and renal parenchymal lesions. It is of high value for the judgment of the scope and degree of renal injury, so CT examination can generally determine the renal cyst.
Clinically, ultrasonography is generally preferred for renal cysts, which can be seen as single or multiple round liquid echogenic areas in the renal parenchyma. The edges are smooth and sharp, and CT examination is generally taken for cysts whose diagnosis is not clear.
If the patient is not feeling well, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time, improve the relevant examination, clarify the cause, and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
