Tumor in the throat can be considered as benign tumor of oropharynx, malignant tumor of tonsil, hypopharyngeal cancer, and laryngeal cancer, etc. The performance of different diseases is different. 1. Benign oropharyngeal tumor: papilloma, fibroma, retention cyst and hemangioma are common. When the tumor is small, there is no conscious symptom, but when it is big, pharyngeal anosmia may appear, and even swallowing, breathing and vocal dysfunction may occur. 2. Tonsillar carcinoma: Early symptoms include discomfort and foreign body sensation in pharynx, pharyngeal pain on one side, which is more obvious when swallowing. In the late stage, the pharyngeal pain will be aggravated, which will cause reflexive earache on the same side, difficulty in swallowing, slurred speech and difficulty in breathing. A few patients with lymphoma may show bilateral tonsil involvement. 3. Hypopharyngeal carcinoma: Early symptoms include foreign body sensation in laryngopharynx and choking sensation in swallowing. When the tumor increases in size and ulceration occurs on the surface, it can cause pain in swallowing and radioactive earache on the same side, often accompanied by progressive dysphagia, salivation and blood in sputum. When the tumor involves the laryngeal cavity, it may cause hoarseness and dyspnea. 4. Laryngeal cancer: discomfort and foreign body sensation in the throat, sore throat, blood in sputum, hoarseness, dyspnea and even dysphagia. If there is discomfort in the throat and new organisms are found in the throat, it is recommended to consult the hospital in time and standardize the treatment after the diagnosis is clear.
