Can cerebral palsy cause pneumonia?

Cerebral palsy does not usually cause pneumonia and there is no necessary causal relationship between the two.
Cerebral palsy, also known as cerebral palsy, is caused by non-progressive brain damage such as immature brain development (prenatal and postnatal), congenital developmental defects (malformations), or injuries (prematurity, asphyxia). The main manifestations are central motor and postural developmental disorders and activity limitations, often accompanied by sensory, cognitive, and behavioral disorders. It is a developmental disorder.
Pneumonia is an inflammatory reaction in the lungs due to infection by pathogenic microorganisms, and common pathogenic microorganisms include bacteria (Streptococcus pneumoniae), viruses (adenovirus), mycoplasma, chlamydia, and so on, which are mainly manifested as cough, sputum, fever and other symptoms. Pneumonia is associated with acute upper respiratory tract infections, decreased immunity, and other factors.
Cerebral palsy is a developmental disorder and pneumonia is an infectious disease. Cerebral palsy does not necessarily lead to lung infection. Children with cerebral palsy have a relatively low resistance and are more likely to develop lung infections.
When cerebral palsy occurs, you can go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for reasonable treatment.
