Can you drink more water with Meniere’s syndrome?

Meniere’s syndrome, or Meniere’s disease, is of unknown etiology, and studies have found that its main pathology is related to the accumulation of water in the membranous labyrinth, which occurs mainly through an imbalance in endolymphatic production and absorption. Patients with Meniere’s disease are advised to control their water intake, drink moderately, and avoid deliberately drinking more water.

Bed rest is recommended during exacerbation, high protein, low fat, low salt diet is chosen, and medications are given for symptomatic treatment such as diphenhydramine, scopolamine, guillotine, diuretics, and middle ear administration.
