A man’s glans may touch the IUD during sex. But it can be affected by the type of birth control ring.
IUDs are generally categorized into round IUDs, T-shaped IUDs and fixed IUDs. If a T-shaped IUD is used, the man’s glans may touch the IUD due to the long tail filament. Usually, it is possible to go to the hospital in time to replace the IUD, or the tail wire can be pushed to the side of the cervix through the doctor’s operation, so as to avoid scratching the man’s glans.
If the IUD is round or fixed, it is usually placed inside the cervix and does not protrude from the outside of the uterine cavity. During coitus, it is difficult for the male glans to enter the cervix, so the male glans will not touch the IUD.
